From Being Bedridden After a POTS Diagnosis to Back Riding Her Horses and Cheering

Name: Tommi
Challenge: POTS Syndrome

Story Of Hope For Tommi

Dizziness, cold sweats, nausea, and fainting..Tommi was constantly battling these extreme symptoms day in and day out. 😔

As if the teenage years aren’t difficult enough, this was Tommi’s overwhelming new reality after being diagnosed with POTS.  She couldn’t even function to attend school, 🏫 let alone do what she loved most- like horseback 🐎 riding or cheering. 📣

Tommi said, “The most difficult part about all of this is that I had no idea what was going on with my body or what I could do, if anything, to help me feel normal again. For the majority of my junior year, I was completely isolated in my room, much of the time bedridden, 🛏 not even able to walk to the bathroom by myself because I would pass out. I was too fatigued to even eat, and my weight dropped too low.” 😟

Frustrated that the typical treatments for POTS weren’t helping Tommi, they decided to search 👀 for more answers.  And after a lot of late night 🥱 research, they finally came across Dr. Tony Ebel and his approach to Neurologically-Focused Chiropractic Care. So, they took a leap of faith 🙏🏻 and headed to Illinois to receive two weeks of intensive care.

Tommi said, “I had my doubts 🤨 about it because, after all, it did seem like just ordinary chiropractic work, but Dr. Tony Ebel and his team at PWC Chiropractic completely turned me around.”

Slowly but surely, Tommy started feeling like herself again. 🙌🏻  And she was having so many more good days! 👏🏻 Even as she continued neurologically-focused care back home, the improvements continued..

Tommi said,  “Day after day, I got better, and I got ecstatic 🤗 when I started doing things I loved again. I am so much healthier than I was, and I am so grateful for that. Now, I am back in school for my senior year of high school and am back to cheering and riding my horses, 🐴 maybe not as much as before POTs, but I am still doing it!” 🎉

Now, Tommi is heading to college with a scholarship in hand and planning on becoming a nervous system chiropractor to help people in the same situation that she was in. 💙

You go, girl! We know you will change so many lives by turning your pain into purpose! 💪🏻
