Why I Become a PX Doc!
For 12 long years, my husband and I dreamed of becoming parents. We tried everything — IUI, IVF, acupuncture, oriental medicine, chiropractic care — yet nothing worked. It was an emotional roller coaster, filled with heartbreak and uncertainty. During our IVF journey, we were able to freeze three embryos. Ten years later, that dream still hadn’t faded. We still hoped for a child who shared our DNA, so we made the decision to grow our family through surrogacy.
And on April 16, 2020, our miracle happened. Our beautiful son, Nathaniel, was born. He was healthy, radiant, and everything we had ever hoped and prayed for. Truly, a gift from God!
When Nathaniel turned three, he was diagnosed Autism. That moment broke me — I cried for months. But then I made a decision: to rise up, to fight, and to do everything in my power to support him. I threw myself into this new journey — navigating assessments, therapies (speech, OT, ABA), IEPs, regional centers, neurologist appointments, IHSS, social-recreational programs, and more. It has been exhausting, emotional, and relentless. But also, deeply purposeful.
At the same time, I run two chiropractic practices and care for my family. I’m not just a mom — I’m a hands-on mom, a doctor, a business owner, a caregiver, a fighter. I also adjust amd treat my son to support his nervous system, and it has made me more determined than ever to specialize in pediatric, prenatal, and family chiropractic care. It’s something I’ve wanted to do for years, but life’s demands always came first.
Until one day, a dear friend from my chiropractic school called to refer me a 9-year-old girl with Autism. Her name was Dr. Cathy Ng, who had become a pediatric chiropractor specializing in Autism and special needs care for 10 years. As we reconnected, I shared my story about Nathaniel, and I felt chills — I knew this was my sign. My calling. My next chapter.
She introduced me to Dr. Tony Ebel and the PX Experience Pediatric Chiropractic program. I didn’t hesitate, I enrolled immediately. I completed 80 hours of online training and 20 hours of live hands-on training in Crystal Lake, Illinois. I earned my certification and became a PX Experience Pediatric Chiropractor!
My Why Is Crystal Clear:
My son is my why. I want to be the doctor who truly understands children like him — who can support not only the child but the entire family. I want to help my niece Lyla, who is also autistic. I want to serve other moms and families who are searching for someone who gets it, someone who can offer answers, relief, treatment, and hope.
I want to help all the children and families walking this journey. I want to be the doctor that struggling parents are searching for — someone who truly understands what they’re going through, who can offer real support.
This is more than a profession — this is my calling, my mission, my destiny. This is what wakes me up every day with fire in my soul, no matter how tired I am. My husband and son are my greatest inspirations. I told my husband, one day soon, I want to retire him, so he can spend more time with our son and support us in new ways. I want us to travel the world as a family and live a life full of joy, freedom, and purpose.
I know this journey won’t be easy — it will demand long nights, tears, hard work, and sacrifice. But I also know I’m not alone. I have my A Team (OCC & FVC), the right mentors, the right community, and the PX Experience Pediatric Chiropractic Program with Dr. Tony Ebel behind me. With their support and my unwavering drive, I will get there!
