Our mission is to help people in the St. Peters community express their innate maximal potential by removing interferences in the nervous system that cause miscommunications between the brain and the body.
“You Can’t be in Growth and Protection at the same time” -Bruce Lipton
Your brain connects with every cell, tissue and organ in your body. When proper balance and communication is restored in your nervous system with Chiropractic adjustments, your body can do what it’s designed to do self-regulate and heal itself – and then you can get back to enjoying life!
St. Peters Chiropractors Dr. Stephen Schoenherr and Dr. Julia North are leading the way in Perinatal, Pediatric, and family health.
We offer an energetic, welcoming environment where patients feel like family.
Our entire team operates according to the Golden Rule: we treat you the way we would want to be treated – as a patient, and as a person. Everything we do is based on our dedication to serving you.
We don’t ‘cure’ anything – your body does that, we want to facilitate and care of everything, so all you have to do is heal.
Dr Schoenherr first experienced chiropractic to help heal after neck and TMJ issues following an auto accident. He attended University of Missouri-Columbia and then Logan University and met mentors that encouraged him to pursue his passion of helping others achieve wellness naturally. Witnessing the decline of health over the last decades, he has pursued many in-depth post graduate studies to learn how we can help change the health of children, mothers, fathers and families.
It all begins with a properly balanced autonomic nervous system. Stress dysregulates our nervous system and affects every body system. It’s not pain we need to be concerned about as much as function. Stress dysregulates our nervous system and can cause issues in our whole body. Most conditions such as headaches, infertility, concentration, anxiety, fatigue, GI issues-every part of us can benefit from a neurologically focused chiropractic adjustment balancing our nervous system.
Helping the Community Stay Healthy
For over 28 years, Dr. Steve has been caring for people who want to help themselves heal from the inside out. He has a special combination of a caring heart and a straightforward approach that allows people to feel safe and confident in his care. He loves working with families and is delighted that the children he treated early in his practice are now bringing their own children in for chiropractic care. He has a passion to help kids maximize their potential without starting down the path of prescription drugs.
While he loves changing the lives of kids who are chronically sick or struggling with focus in school, his passion is to work with young couples even before conception to help parents be healthy and create healthy kids.
When he is not helping to amplify the lives of his patients, Dr. Steve can usually be found outdoors, running through the woods, hunting and fishing, or mountain biking. He also enjoys traveling and spending time with his wife and three grown sons.
Dr. Julia says she didn’t choose chiropractic – chiropractic chose her! She went to a chiropractor for low back pain and headaches and was surprised when her chronic stomach condition also cleared up. From that point on, she wanted others to know that there was hope for them that was natural and drug-free.
She joined Amplify Life Chiropractic in 2021 after practicing in Kentucky for 3 years. She loves caring for people of all ages and walks of life and has a passion for holistic pregnancy and pediatric care.
She feels honored that patients trust chiropractic care for their health and their children’s health instead of opting for a quick fix like a pill. The results she has seen with children struggling with chronic illnesses, sensory challenges, and behavior regulation troubles have been incredibly rewarding.
Her goal is to help each of her patients achieve their goals and give them back the quality of family life they have been missing.
The Power that Made the Body, Heals the Body
Dr. Julia believes that your body was designed to function and heal on its own and that the more man-made interventions, such as surgery and drugs, that are done on the body, the longer it takes to heal.
She believes the greatest ‘treatment’ is simply to help the body’s innate ability to heal operate at its best. This is true for all ages- from newborns to adults. She treats patients with love and honesty, offering them the same recommendations she would make to her own family, and making their goals, her goals.
Community Connection
When she’s not amplifying the lives of parents and kids, Dr. Julia can be found in the community. She coaches both pole vault and high jump at a local high school, and enjoys spending the remainder of her free time either volunteering with the St. Charles Jaycees or spending time with her husband and two dachshunds.
